Starry Starry Night

by Jet Set Ayo Sue on Jan.25, 2010, under Must Go See

I must apologise for the lack of blogs of late, this is due to the fact I have enjoyed a longer than usual time flitting from place to place, where I have been at the behest of engaging hosts. However, this pleasant distraction has now come to an end and you will be pleased to know that I am back and raring to go. Also can I thank those of you (darlings) who e-mailed me expressing their concern for me in the lack of communication , your concern is touching and fondly received. But as I say I’m back and raring to go and what better way than to start with the exhibition of a favorite of mine, the toured geniusclip_image0023 The Real Van Gogh: The Artist and His letters. So much has been written about Van Gogh already than any additional analysis would render itself immaterial amongst the past plethora of written work available, so I won’t venture it here. The Real Van Gogh: The Artist and His letters is an exibition in the main galleries of The royal Academy of Arts. It focuses on Van Gogh’s correspondence, and gives a rare sight into the inner thoughts of his giant amongst artists.  The delicate state of the letters meant that the letters have rarely been shown in public an along with them as a result many unseen drawingsclip_image0041. Surprisingly it’s been 40 years since a major exhibition of Van Gogh has appeared in London. The exhibition starts 23rd January - 18th April 2010 and I for one will  not be missing this opportunity to gaze in awe at the genius of his work and perhaps learn little more about the inner thoughts of this troubled genius.

If you would like to join me in what will be rewarding experience, send me an email and let’s go together.

Namaste.

A Happy New Decade

I would like to wish all my very special companions a very happy and prosperous new year and I would also like to say a huge thankyou for all your kind Christmas wishes and gifts. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that Santa brought you what you wanted in your stocking?Sadly though the Christmas and New Year’s festivities have come to an end and it’s time to go back to work, and brave the cold and snow.

But whilst this weather brings a cold chill to the start of the new year I can’t help feeling that a better way to ease away those winter blues would be the cosy up and help save the planet by engaging in a bit of shared body heat!

Of course not everyone is unhappy about the recent snowfall as these two more aptly suited to the conditions take to some robust playclip_image0081

And I just had to mention the now new, tallest building in the world. The Burj Dubai stands at 2,683 feet high. Soon you won’t even have to fly to join the mile high club.

Strip Kisses,

Ayo Sue xo
