If By Chance We Meet…

by Jet Set Ayo Sue on Dec.14, 2009, under My Diary

Sometimes you may find yourself walking down the street, sometimes you may find yourself in a restaurant or sometimes you may find yourself in some other public arena. And you may find yourself in a position whereby you would rather not be seen to know me or me you. And should such an occasion occur, you may feel that the skies are darkening and the world is closing in on you, your heart may be racing and your anxiety is at overload. Do not worry. Do not fret.Do not feel as if your world is about to be brought down around you, it is NOT going to happen.

When you work in a world where discretion in not just a word but is a mantra that embodies every part of the job. You can feel with absolute assurance that I will always without exception display the utmost discretion and maintain the highest level of decorum, no matter what.

And if  we happen upon the same place, don’t worry or feel obliged to acknowledge me. Nor should you feel in anyway affronted if I do not wave or smile or acknowledge you in any way.

So if by chance we should find ourselves in the same place then please remember this.discretion2

Discretion and decorum are not just words but are the very ethos of my hobby.

Amaya

by Jet Set Ayo Sue on Dec.12, 2009, under Eateries

Amaya is an Indian restaurant providing a true vestige of Indian style and elegance. It shows a real sense of charm and sophistication which is as far away as can be from the scores of Indian restaurants daubed in red flock wallpaper, red table cloths topped and ill fitting white paper cloths. clip_image002 Amaya presents itself in a grand and sophisticated way, where chic and elegance are its watchword. It’s not by accident that it is situated next door to the ‘Christian Louboutin’ shoe boutique, which just happens to be one of the finest shoe boutiques in London. Style follows style isn’t?

Amaya is unconventional in its format mixing some well know dishes with those that you may never have heard of. It also does away with the convention that a curry must be eaten with a glass of beer in one hand and opts for the more worthy aspiration of wine. There is on hand advice to help with choosing the right bottle for the right dish.  Each dish is prepared to the highest standard using a sophisticated blend of herbs spices and marinades. All this is grilled in full view with its open kitchen. Perhaps, helping to engender an authentic Indian street market. The smells of its spices being allowed to waft gently throughout the restaurant, tantalising your taste buds.

The decor is magnificentclip_image0062 and provides a sophisticated and contemporary version of Indian cuisine. It has a good selection of fine wines to accompany each dish and an ever helpful staff. If you are a lover of Indian food and want something different with a touch of class and an enthusiastic and dramatic kitchen to view then Amaya is the place.

This award winning resturant presents a umistakable experience for lunch and dinner in Belgravia and without any doubts London’s Most glamorous indian resturant.
