Summer Time
by Jet Set Ayo Sue on Jun.29, 2009, under My Diary
They say that a change is as good as rest so moving home should be good for the soul. Well it’s not! It’s as stressful as ever. So I know you will accept my apologies for the lack of blogs recently, I’ve been in the process of moving. Packing boxes, unpacking boxes all part of the pleasures of moving home. Anyway when it’s all done I know it will have been worth all the effort and stress entailed.
Now that Wimbledon has started and the sun is high in the sky we can thankfully enjoy a refreshing Pimms
and gorge on strawberries.
Let’s hope Andy Murray can do it. A Brit in the final the world must be going mad. Let’s hope it is.
The weatherman says it’s going to be a scorcher so it’s out with the sun cream and off with those clothes. I love summer!
What better time of year to enjoy an exotic cocktail whilst engaged in frisson of romance.
With this weather comes the advent of street art.
The artist ability to make this 3d effect is awe inspiring. So much so that cyclists instinctively avoid it. This particular art work was done on Regents canal towpath in London and was in fact an innovative way in trying to get cyclists to slow down. I think they can say it was a success.
And finally in tribute to the ‘King of Pop’ The way he will be remembered.

Covert Delivery
by Jet Set Ayo Sue on Jun.04, 2009, under Flight Of The Imagination
Across the street from me I can see an old fashioned Italian delicatessen, the sort that would not seem out of place in a small town in Sicily. It has a rustic charm with a basket of bread outside and hanging in the window is various salami sausages and a faint whiff of a bygone era. Perched against the window is an old fashioned delivery bicycle,
ready with a delivery to be made. It looks as if it’s filled with all manner of mouth watering delicacies.
I wonder where it’s going and who it’s for.
I keep in mind why I’m really watching. To get a secret glimpse, a longing, a fleeting glance, anything just as long as I can have my moment. The clandestine surveillance heightens my senses, electrifying every nerve in my body, making it feel as if at any moment it may erupt, propelling me to a new intensity not yet felt. I get a tingling sensation throughout my body every time. I take a secret peek, will he see me, and can I avoid detection? My senses are on overload the exhilaration is almost too much to bear.
Where is he? I’m ready to explode. I’m becoming fearful of the sight of him, should I withdraw, I must resist these urges; my anticipation is driving me crazy.
The door is opening, he’s coming out. Oh my god, the feelings inside me are on fire. My body is burning up! I can see his foot, it’s outside the door. I can’t look I know it will be too much, his athletic muscular body, dark wavy hair, olive skin, those deep soft brown eyes. Oh god what do I do? In the background I hear bells, wedding bells. No just my telephone. Who can be ringing at this time? I have to answer it. “Hello.” I say.
“Hello, I was wondering if I could interest you in switching energy supplier?”
I sigh; I left my position for this! “No. Goodbye.” I slammed down the phone and hurried back to my vantage point.
It was too late he had gone. My Adonis has left, taken his bike and headed off to make his delivery. Just a moment later the doorbell went, and so I made my way to the door and opened it.
“Your delivery madam.” said the Italian delivery boy.
