A Stocking Filler
by Jet Set Ayo Sue on Dec.15, 2008, under Lady Sue Amusings
Far away, deep inside a frozen tundra, there exists an an invisible workshop where Santa and his elves have been busily working all year round for this special time of year, so that they can bring christmas joy once again to one and all.
Despite this Santa still managed to find time to personally inspect his new, very special helpers and gave an indication as to the duties that would be required
He was said to be delighted with the
recruits and was sure there would be no problem in maintaining his north pole.
And so as Christmas fast approaches we hope that we can put aside any disagreements or ill feelings that may be held and simply take the time to enjoy the pleasure in giving and recieving in return.
Christmas is a wonderful time of year and despite all the troubles in the world we should celebrate it and do our best to bring Christmas cheer to everyone.
With stockings
waiting to be filled, I wonder what Santa will bring me this year?
Merry Christmas!
La Petite Maison
by Jet Set Ayo Sue on Dec.14, 2008, under Eateries
Ah, `La Petite Maison’, just the name conjures up a knowing sense of fine dining and Gallic sophistication. Launched by Arjun Waney owner of Zuma & Roka resturant. Situated in a discreet in a Mayfair cul-de-sac just behind Claridges.
this chic restaurant has all the hallmarks of a rich and varied continental style with subtle hints of provincial charm mixed in for good measure.
The essence is on enjoyment and the encouragement to share your food, though it has to be said it’s not to everyone’s taste, it is however, when enjoyed as I had the pleasure of doing not so long ago, with a rather handsome companion, very novel and very erotic. Though at times the audible sound of cutlery clicking away in the background can be distracting, indeed one might imagine you were hearing ‘Madam Defarge’ busily working away at her knitting; this is easily countered by the and exquisite cuisine.
A you would expect from such an eatery it enjoys the recommendation of Mayfair’s fashionably chic clientele. The staff,
are warm and friendly, and equally skilled and aware of not being over intrusive. So allowing romantic couples to bask serenely in the restaurants ambience and gaze dreamily into each other’s eyes and ponder what may be.
The food is divine and is complimented with an extensive wine list with a heavy nod towards, as you would expect Gallic propensities.
This is a fine eatery and one that is best enjoyed by a couple with romance in mind, as it is the sort of place that does its best to encourage amour.

Nutcracker Surprise
by Jet Set Ayo Sue on Dec.09, 2008, under Must Go See
If you have never been to the ballet, all I can say is that you are missing out on one of
life’s greatest pleasures. And ever since Darcey Bussell has become a household name more and more people are waking up to the splendour and delight that is ballet.
So if you are thinking about taking the opportunity to enter the world of ballet, you can do no better than start with the English National Ballet, and `The Nutcracker.’ This wonderful show is the perfect introduction for the uninitiated and an ever popular favourite for the ballet regular. It is showing from the 17th December until the 30th at the London Coliseum so you should book now, to avoid disappointment.
It’s vibrant, energetic and simply fun. Set to Tchaikovsky’s score, it is a wonderfully perfect complement to the Christmas festivities, as you are taken to the Land of Snow, where the Kingdom of Sweets can be found
And along for the ride has come ‘The Nutcracker,’ which has come alive on Christmas Eve. The Nutcracker has one of the most popular and well known dances appearing in this show, the `Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.’
The English National Ballet gives a performance that will delight and amaze you
What better way to celebrate the oncoming Christmas by taking a foray into the magical world of the ballet. You will be taken to an enchantedland where you will find it impossible not to be enthralled and excited, and it will leave you with the biggest smile on your face, especially when accompanied by your very own snow queen-; )
