A Winter Pleasure
by Jet Set Ayo Sue on Nov.29, 2008, under Must Go See
Ah, it is truly a wonderful time of year. Winter is beginning to bite and Christmas is just around the corner. And what better way to usher in the onset of Christmas than a trip to the Natural History Museum Ice rink. I love it, its great fun.
I don’t know what it is about ice skating but it never fails to excite and amaze at the same time. It can bring out the inner child in you, or induce a romantic interlude where star crossed lovers can forge everlasting relationships.
I love ice skating and even though I say so myself I am very proficient at it. The beauty of ice skating is, that even if you are a novice it is still great fun, though you have to expect the odd bruise or two. The Natural History Museum is a spectacular setting for an ice rink.
You can now find ice rinks of this nature springing up everywhere. , Royal Naval College, Somerset House and even at Royal Windsor. The popularity of these ice sakting rinks is unbounded and righlty so.
Whether it be to bring out your inner child or develop a romantic tryst the pleasure derived from ice skating whilst surrounded by such spectacular buildings cannot be over estimated. And if it is done with a secret assignation, well the pleasure can be sublime.

Of Little Pearls
by Jet Set Ayo Sue on Nov.19, 2008, under Flight Of The Imagination
Deep beneath the crystal clear sea,
on the sea bed lays a cluster of the most beautiful oysters.
Here, where turtles can roam they forge from tiny pieces of dirt the most exquisite pearls on the ocean bed.
And from this, Mother nature’s own jewellery box, so the legend goes, when the sun the moon and the stars all converge at once to form a perfect matrix, from the bottom of the sea, inside an oyster shell will emerge, a perfectly formed beauty.
So breathtaking a vision, that when she leaves the ocean for good, it sighs with sorrow for its loss
Fishermen all claim that on long days out at sea they can hear the cries of beauty being born. And if they are lucky enough to catch a glimpse of her they will instantly fall in love with her. Grown men weep as their hearts are broken, when they miss their chance of even the merest glimpse of her beauty, formed from the bosom of Mother Nature’s workshop.
But for the lucky few, those who are fortunate enough to cross the precipice between dreams of what could be to what will be, are able to find eternal happiness, when their minds and bodies entwine as one with a beauty of a little pearl.

Bon Appétit

Chez Bruce is one,of the best exponents of French cuisine in town. The exterior imbues an invitation that says this will be a gastronomical feast of epic proportions. Once inside you are warmly greeted by the staff that are always on hand to assist but are never over intrusive. This welcoming and relaxing atmosphere lends itself to a touch of Parisian flamboyance. Chandeliers adorn the ceiling creating a luminary effect that would have pleased Toulouse Lautrec, and indeed if you close your eyes you might just be able to see him busily painting away in the corner
Chez Bruce still retains its well earned Michelin star and indeed the food reflects this handsomely. The quality is sublime, and incredibly reasonably priced for such a gastonomical pleasure compared to Le Gravoche. All this adds up to it sometimes being difficult to book, so it could be wise to book in advance to avoid any disappointment. Chez Bruce is a dining experience par excellence. Its friendly atmosphere doesn’t disguise its ability for intimacy, as two lovers may find on the banks of the river Seine.
Chez Bruce is not only excellent value for money but a sheer delight the food is perfectly presented but most importantly tastes absolutely divine and the atmosphere filled with possibilities. A dining experience that is a true tour de force. Don’t miss out book now.
