Winter’s Coming
by Jet Set Ayo Sue on Oct.30, 2008, under Must Go See
The witching hour is upon us when ghosts and ghouls witches and wizards come out to play, making merry with our fear. And so the myth goes.
Well its official the clocks have gone back and the winter nights are drawing in. It’s getting cold outside and it may even snow. Now I would like nothing more than to relax in front of a nice warm log fire,
but unfortunately I don’t have a log fire to cuddle up by, but with relaxation in mind, I’m off to ‘The Yoga Show at the National Hall, Olympia‘ this weekend.
Whilst there I’m going to be honing my Ashtanga Yoga
tantric massage and yoga exercises. Many of the most revered yoga practitioners will be there and so as a Yoga enthusiast it’s an opportunity I don’t want to forgo.
Sadly however, my immersion into total relaxation will be compromised, as unfortunately while I was away last week I lost my iPod in the plane.
A gift, from a lovely friend. It had all my favourite music stored on it and every time I played it, it helped me to relax and brought back cherished memories.
The Yoga Show is on from the 31st October to the 2nd November.
It’s well worth a visit and can be very rewarding. If you have never tried yoga, ‘The Yoga Show’ is a great place to start. Just think of all those positions we could get in to. ha ha!

North Korea dismisses rumours of a funding crisis in its space program.
Doctors believe that this man may have to be surgically removed after he is sucked inside following a massive involuntary contraction.
The council denies that it forgot to pick up two of its elderly residents following this year’s trip to the seaside.
And finally this Gent couldn’t hide his joy after seeing Ayo Sue.
A Love Affair With Ballet
by Jet Set Ayo Sue on Oct.15, 2008, under Must Go See
One of my greatest pleasures is a trip to the ballet. Not long ago a friend took me to the ballet.
He also enthused about, quite rightly, the virtues of the Sadler’s Wells theatre.
Naturally with such an endorsement I was not going to miss the opportunity.
Ballet is obviously no stranger to the Sadler’s Wells theatre but what makes this one so special is the appearance and long overdue welcome return of the Birmingham Royal Ballet.
They are performing wonderful rendition of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ from October 28th to 30th and from the 31st to the 1st are paying tribute with a celebration of Stravinsky.
Beauty and the Beast
is a magical tale of passion and intolerance. The beautiful girl is first held captor by the Beast but eventually as time elapses, she finds the meaning of true love.
The Birmingham Royal Ballet have been described as the ‘finest dancers in Britain’. I don’t know if that is true or not but what I do know I am ever grateful to my friend who first took me to the ballet. And thus began a love affair with dance and ballet in particular.
